Most people are advised to spend one night and one day in Wuzhen. As a consequence, the tourists arrive en masse in the late afternoon and all leave mid morning the following day. If you want to see the best of Wuzhen, stay a little longer. Wanting more photo opportunities than crowds of camera wielding Chinese tourists would allow us, we woke early (6am) to avoid the melee and had the place to ourselves. However, the place remained remarkably quiet until the new batch of visitors arrived late afternoon and gave us the opportunity to see the whole of Wuzhen in peace and quiet.
The liveliest bars in the evening seemed to be the ones near to the Pagoda - but there are plenty of others from which to choose.

Suzhou
The way it should be...
The way it is!
Shameless imitation brands everywhere
I couldn't get the real Nike shop (literally next door) into the photo, but you get the picture: swoosh becomes swosh and 'just do it' (or 'impossible is nothing') becomes 'anything is possible'.
